Factory Planning: Placing Machines, Stores and Offices

Industrial Vastu looks at the whole plot: the gate, the production floor, raw material storage and dispatch.

• Heavy machinery belongs in the south and west portions of the plot.
• Boilers, furnaces and electrical panels suit the south-east (fire zone).
• Raw material storage in the south-west; finished goods near the north-west for quick dispatch.
• Keep the north-east open, or use it for water storage.

A site visit is strongly recommended for industrial projects because the plot shape matters as much as the building.
